AIRPORTS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
THE NUMBER ONE RULE: The number one rule is NEVER, under any circumstances, leave any baggage or personal belongings unattended in or close to the Airport. This is VERY serious and most air travelers are well aware of the stringent security measures that have been in place since 9/11.
THE NUMBER TWO RULE: The number two rule is NEVER, under any circumstances, carry anything into the UK for someone else or you might find yourself being hustled to a small room with a man with rubber gloves! YOU are responsible for ALL items that you bring into the UK and if found to be carrying something illegal YOU will be prosecuted. Please also be aware that I was NOT joking about the rubber gloves, if HM Customs & Excise suspect that you are carrying contraband illegally within your body they have the power to do a complete and thorough strip search.
Identification/Id:
For non UK domestic flights a passport is required, it should be valid for a minimum of six months at return date, do bring a photocopy as a precaution in case you lose the original document.
For Internal regional UK flights a recognized photographic ID is required but to be on the safe side it might be best to have your passport to hand as, from time to time, security may be heightened.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
DO NOT PACK: With security in mind do NOT pack any toys or other items that bear any resemblance to a weapon, even a small water pistol may cause alarm!

Any single piece of checked baggage weighing more than 32kg (70lbs) each will not be accepted at check-in by any airline operating at Heathrow and across all other UK airports. Economy flights may have a smaller allowance, please check your ticket or with the airline.
Pushchairs: Pushchairs will be tagged at check-in and a baggage receipt will be issued for later collection on arrival.
FACILITIES:
Disabled Facilities: Disabled Facilities at British Airports are far better now than they used to be in the past as all British airports have to, by law, be fully accessible to disabled passengers. Unfortunately this does not mean that the services offered, to disabled fliers, are consistent and airport services do differ. Usually services such as; vehicle pick up, drop in, coach boarding, restaurants, toilets, (restroom) and other facilities are specifically provided and catered for by trained staff.
Assisted transportation within the airport should always be available and should be arranged prior to your journey by contacting either the airport or the flight operator/carrier. Boarding and flights assistance to disable passengers is to the highest possible level. Aisles and security archways allow wheelchairs to pass through, and airport staff will help if necessary.
